SHELTER: TENT LONDON 2011

August 9th, 2011

"Publicity image of Bute fabric samples and JJAM logo"

Celebrating the power of textiles to transform space JJAM challenged 5 design studios: Lost Values, Studio Henny van Nistelrooy, Shell ThomasTortie Hoare, and We Do Studio to create five distinctive fabric shelters for Tent visitors to discover and explore; using off-cuts, samples and discontinued fabrics supplied by Scottish textiles manufacturer Bute Fabrics. It’s up to visitors how they engage with each shelter, whether it’s a place to take a break, a space to play in or even to tweet their latest thoughts.

JJAM & friends at Somerset House – Images

Psychedelic Xmas Wrapping & Card bar

Illustration Images

JJAM commissioned designers to create an illustration based on our Psychedelic Xmas theme. Their work was turned into classic rubber stamps to create an on demand printing service.
From left to right & top to bottom: Bronwen Edwards, Rob Francis, Sac Magique, Cristina Guitian, Han Hoogerbrugge, Deniz Tekkul, Heretic, Craig Kirk.

Tin Toy Images

&me created a live tin toy arena for us. Old fashioned tin toys did the illustrating work. They waggled, hopped, walked over paper, leaving traces – like foot prints in the snow. Some of the toys were available as stamp to be printed on top of the traces or you could get them printed on a card or wrapping paper.

Two of the tin toy artworks got produced as numbered posters and are available for £2 each plus delivery. Contact &me for P&P.

JJAM & friends at Somerset House 10 -12 December

November 28th, 2010

JJAM will be setting up a psychedelic Christmas wrapping and card bar at the Somerset House Super Christmas Market this year.

The backdrop to JJAM’s concept will be graphic, eye-poppingly bright, with a pinch of the surreal and silliness.

JJAM commissioned creatives Han Hoogerbrugge, Sac Magique , Rob Francis, Heretic, Cristina Guitian, Gilles & Cecilie, Deniz Tekkul, Craig Kirk, Bronwen Edwards to come up with illustrations converted into a series of rubber stamps. Our trusted wordsmiths Jo Dunk and Vicki Jenkins have dreamt up a selection of surreal Christmas phrases. Mix and match your choice of illustrations and word stamps at our bespoke wrapping paper & card bar – it is your pick! For your further delectation there’ll be the opportunity to race tin toys to make a part of Melanie Bartheidel’s tin toy poster and wrapping paper designs.

Come on down and visit us!
